THE BIG APPLE
I took a trip to NYC with my little sister! I was most excited to see New York through her eyes. She'd never been and I feel like NYC is probably one of 3 cities in this world that you can be completely overwhelmed and excited all at the same time. It felt like a milestone in my life because I want to be able to share my love of travel with others. Being able to take the time and being able to afford to pay for us both felt like something i could mark off of my "life-goals" list. It made me thankful for having the amazing job I do, I was grateful to make new memories with family and friends, and so excited to go all out in NYC!
We did more in this trip then I've done on any other trip to that city combined and we still didn't get to everything! I wanted to be able to share as much as possible with Hunter and really just fill her mind with all of the amazing things that city has to offer. We ate, we shopped, we walked (a lot) and she took her first rides in a taxi, subway, and ferry. Hunter is a 16, soon to be 17 year old that marches to the beat of her own drum. I wasn't sure if she'd be overwhelmed and over-it in 2 days, but she has the personality and spirit meant for the big city. She made herself at home and was ready to go everyday! (probably more than me!)
THE STOPS: Times Square, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Rockefeller Center, Flatiron Building, 9/11 Memorial, Hudson River, Coney Island, Ferry around Statue of Liberty, Chelsea Market, High Line, North River Lobster Company boat ride, Little Italy, China Town, and the Brooklyn Bridge.*
*With shopping, eating, drinking coffee and cocktails in between.
